Dr Danielle Einstein is a Clinical Psychologist and Adjunct Fellow at Macquarie University. In 2024, she pushed through Australia’s social media minimum age law. She is internationally known for her research on anxiety and adolescent social media use. She educated the government, medical practitioners and researchers, was an invited expert at the Social media summits and Age Assurance Taskforce, supported grieving parents in the messages they could take to parliament and provided critical evidence at the final Senate Inquiry.  Dr Einstein used her work on how we handle uncertainty to clear widespread myths and expose errors in public understanding. Her (2024) book Raising Anxiety: Why our good intentions are backfiring on children (and how to fix it) provides practical steps for parents to change unhelpful patterns and target worry (co-authored with parenting expert, Dr Judith Locke).
