The event was organised by Dr Helen Thomas GP from Health Professionals For Safer Screens. Dr Thomas spoke passionately about the negative impact of smartphones on young people and what actions parents can do to make a difference.
St Swithun’s deputy head pastoral Graham Yates spoke about the positive impact seen from the adoption of Yondr pouches in the senior school while Jonathan Kirkham, head of Weeke Primary School, and Chris Rossiter, deputy head at Kings’, discussed their decisions to make their respective schools smartphone free.
