“Given that my book “Generation Zombie” contains a lot of information about the everyday use of devices and how it impacts children in very subtle ways, I decided to do my TED talk from the perspective of normalised and socially acceptable behaviours across the centuries.
Every century there has been a product that we have given to children, assuming its safety, but which we have later established is harmful and is now banned or illegal. I pose the question of whether giving devices to children is the equivalent problem of the 21st century.”
